“The Company Men” (2010)

The Company Men

Ben Affleck’s Bobby Walker was living what he thought was the “good life”: Porsche (check), Pats tickets (check), swanky golf club membership (check), a big house (check). Then all these “checks” got cashed and his life came crashing down when he was fired from the fictional shipbuilding company - GTX. Instead of finding a new job and stealing his old clients within a few day, he was forced to move his family in with his parents and had to beg his brother-in-law, played by Kevin Costner, for a job installing dry wall in a home renovation project.

The Company Men explores the dignity of work and the impact downsizing has on one’s self-worth.
