“The Insider” (1999)

The Informant

The Insider is a 1999 movie, directed by Michael Mann, starring Al Pacino as 60 Minutes producer Lowell Bergman. Bergman tries to convice former Brown & Williamson tobacco scientist - Dr. Jeffrey Wigand (played by Russell Crowe) to be interviewed on 60 Minutes about big tobacco. The movie highlights questions about: (1) promise-keeping, (2) whistleblowing, (3) product’s liability, (4) tortious interference, and (5) corporate culture.
